Is it possible to run successful UX/UI workshops around the world, in 4 different countries? Pascal Ameline, in charge of digital activities at CCI France International, and Peter Winckler, Director of Member Relations and Partnerships for the Montreal-based French Chamber of Commerce in Canada, share their respective experiences.

The different stages of the workshops UX/UI workshops with the CCIFI

"We first launched a large, fairly restricted room project with Canada, Qatar and Great Britain, who took part in UX/UI workshops with the Blue Soft graphics team, in order to define the application's outline and functional perimeter, define the user stories, define the wiresframesand mock-ups.All these graphical interfaces were tested by testers and end-users, resulting in a validated functional and graphical perimeter, which the Blue Soft development teams used to build and design the mobile application." Introducings Pascal Ameline.

The testimony of the French Chamber of Commerce in Canada on remote UX/UI workshops

Peter Winckler presents his experience of remote workshops: "The first contact I had was a workshop with your teams. What was quite incredible was that I remember we were in the middle of winter here in Montreal and we were running this workshop with people who were in Paris, Qatar, London and then me in Montreal!
The second involvement was really more in the testing phase. I had the various members here in Montreal test the application. I had to check that everyone understood how it worked and that the user paths were functional. And finally, a final level of feedback to point out the last little things that needed to be improved for the final version.
We had several contacts: Blue Soft, Renard Bleu and the CCIFI teams in Paris, as well as various international chambers of commerce in Montreal, Qatar and London". Completes Peter Winckler.

A methodology centered on the end user

Pascal Ameline concludes:

"Blue Soft was able to provide us with a clear methodology, a clear framework that we relied on in all stages of the project. From the UX/UI design workshops to the go-live helping us to stay really focused on the end user."

The UX/UI methodology includes several essential steps for designing a successful user experience. First, it's important to understand users' needs and carry out in-depth user research. Next, create personas and usage scenarios to describe user needs and behaviors. Information architecture design and wireframes then define the organization and structure of the user interface. Graphic design and the creation of prototypes are then used to test and validate the interface with users. Finally, data analysis and user testing are used to measure the effectiveness of the interface and identify possible improvements.

A word about CCIFI Connect

CCIFI Connect is an online platform proposed by CCI France International. It allows members of the community to connect and exchange with each other. The platform allows members to connect with companies and potential partners around the world. It also provides networking and professional development opportunities.

A word on UX/UI: "As a reminder, UX (User Experience) refers to the overall user experience. It encompasses all the means deployed to design an interface that meets the user's needs. UI (UserInterface) is a branch of UX: the user interface. Where UX focuses on the overall functioning of interfaces, UI is concerned with the visual aspect. In this way, UI aims to catch the visitor's eye and facilitate navigation, to encourage engagement.
