Editor's note: Projetlys became Blue Soft Empower in March 2023.

In early November, Blue Soft announced the acquisition of Projetlys as part of its development strategy, which is based on a balance between organic and external growth. Projetlys is a Digital Services Company (DSC) that guides organizations in their digital transformation. A Microsoft solutions specialist since its creation in 2006, Projetlys is recognized and certified for its expertise. As a proof, it was elected by Microsoft "Partner of the year 2015 for France".

Thierry Boccara and Alexandre Lamotte, respectively co-directors of Blue Soft and Projetlys, talk about the operation, what it will bring to both entities and what it has already started to change.

How did you meet?

Thierry Boccara (Blue Soft), Patrick Dubois (Projetlys), Alexandre Lamotte (Projetlys) and Ludovic Hayat (Blue Soft), co-directors of both companies.

Thierry Boccara : " To meet a strong demand, we were looking to reinforce specific expertise in the group Blue Soft. The firm that is assisting us in our external growth process, and with whom we have made two previous acquisitions, introduced us to Projetlys. We were immediately attracted to the company.

Alexandre Lamotte: "We met "in real life" in Lyon, in our offices. The managers of Blue Soft came to see us in July 2019 and we immediately agreed! For our part, we had been looking for the ideal partner for a year to support our strong growth of 30% per year. We found, in Blue Soft, the complementarity that we wished in our services and the mutual confidence on our capacity to evolve. We were therefore able to quickly make the decision to "seal our destinies".

What makes the two companies complementary?

AL: "Since 2006, Projetlys has developed a strong expertise in collaborative and infrastructure solutions, change management and project management. Our services are offered on the Microsoft Office 365 and Azure clouds. We are known for supporting projects for companies from 500 to over 10,000 users in the private and public sectors. Today, we clearly want to develop on projects of 5,000 users and more. Blue Soft allows us to directly reach customers in these dimensions."

TB: "This Microsoft expertise is a major piece of the puzzle, which effectively complements our own skills, and we will be able to meet a very high demand with 360° solutions. In addition, we already have a presence in Lyon through our service offerings; the fact that Projetlys is a locally recognized player will allow us to develop more rapidly there, especially in the sectors of activity that we want to address more strongly, in particular healthcare.

What has changed for you since the signing of this agreement?

AL: "We're off to a strong start on the commercial side, with the opening up of our respective portfolios and a team that is already in battle mode to bring our offers together. For our clients, the fact that we are joining the Blue Soft group is a strong signal of our solidity and our ability to support them in a comprehensive and sustainable way. For our employees, the news was received with great enthusiasm. They had been aware of our approach for some time and are delighted to be joining the group to work on complex and exciting projects."

TB: "In a very concrete way, the Parisian teams of Projetlys will join us in Charenton, so that the synergy is total. The managers and sales people at Blue Soft are delighted to be able to offer our customers a more complete range of services. And the digital team will be enriched by Projetlys' approach to collaborative work, a subject on which our customers are very much in demand. Similarly, our employees in the Rhône-Alpes region now have their offices at Projetlys in Lyon. The presence of a Lyon-based entity to manage the region's activities was a strong demand from them! The team will now be able to strengthen with the arrival of a sales engineer. All of this will enable the entire group to increase its 2020 objectives in Paris, Lyon and Aix-en-Provence.

What do you think is the secret of a successful transaction when two companies come together?

TB: "Complementarity of offerings is essential, of course. But it has to lead to common and consistent goals, and we agreed on that right away."

AL: "There is also an obvious human dimension. With Blue Soft, we got on well and our values are well shared. We operate in a competitive market, and these things often make the difference."
