Chorouk Babahmed is a Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Consulting Manager at Blue Soft. She joined the group in 2013 from the Ecole des Mines in Rabat (Morocco), and was initially destined for industrial engineering. However, at the end of an internship, she discovered risk management and more specifically the management of the Business Continuity Plan (BCP) of a bank. Chorouk then discovered all the interest of this responsibility, transverse to the company's businesses. This is what led her to specialize in BCP.
Versatility and adaptability, keys to success for a PCA manager
Chorouk works with all professions and has a global vision that gives meaning to her mission. She loves problem solving and crisis management does not scare her! In her job, Chorouk alternates between BCP implementation missions and maintenance of plans (that she has implemented herself or for which she takes over). Currently on a mission to maintain the BCP of a private bank, she meets with the employees of the different departments of the company to update the BCP. Needs evolve, regulations too, and she has to make sure that the BCP procedures evolve according to the analyzed data and find the way to manage a potential crisis.
This is one aspect of the job that she particularly enjoys: "There is no routine in such an assignment. Since she started working at Blue Soft, Chorouk has worked for a number of different clients. All of them are recognized players in their field, but in different sectors of activity, each with their own issues. The assignments vary in length, and each one corresponds to Chorouk's career wishes: "I would like to explore other subjects, compliance, permanent control, to complete my expertise. For example, I would need training and to join a project on cybersecurity, and then to join an existing team to strengthen myself on this subject."
Significant development opportunities
These wishes are expressed during her various meetings with her managers, with whom she maintains a very good relationship. There is no shortage of opportunities to get together thanks to the regular organization of after-work sessions, more informal evenings or workshops on personal development. The annual interviews are also an opportunity to formalize requests, in particular for training. These training sessions will enable us to position ourselves for new challenges, such as cyber security, for example. This support also includes assistance with changing assignments when necessary, and career development. When Chorouk joined Blue Soft, she was an experienced consultant. She asked to become a Manager to explore another facet of her job that she really likes, to supervise other consultants and to gain more perspective on her mission.
Personal growth through entrepreneurship
But that's not all, because behind the serious and composed young woman lies an adventurous soul! Indeed, while being a consultant at Blue Soft, Chorouk has been able to develop another facet, well away from Risk Management and BCP. For since 2018, she has created Zayane, a clothing brand that draws inspiration from the Berber symbolic tradition to make this ancestral culture known. A second hat that allows this passionate Parisian to keep a foot in her Middle Atlas of Origin!
