Le 1er mars 2022, le groupe Blue Soft ouvrait sa première antenne en Belgique à Bruxelles : Blue Soft Belgium. 6 mois après, retour sur cette filiale, son marché et ses expertises avec son dirigeant Joël Van Hoolandt.
Why did you choose Brussels for Blue Soft Belgium?
La création d’une agence en Belgique était un projet de longue date pour les deux dirigeants du groupe Blue Soft (Ludovic Hayat et Thierry Boccara). C’est en mars 2022 que le projet devient réalité à Bruxelles avec Joël. Pour ce Bruxellois de naissance, il n’y avait pas d’autre alternative en Belgique. Il connait bien la ville et nous rappelle son statut de Capitale de l’Europe, une métropole aux activités économiques et commerciales florissantes mais également riche et bouillonnante.

Switching to cloud and modernization: the problems of the Belgian market are similar to those of the French market
When asked about the particularities of the Belgian market regarding IT issues, Joël answers: "I think the Belgian market is not very different from the French market. Cloudification, technological modernization in certain public services, whether regional or national." He also mentions the sometimes immense technological debts, the reluctance to change and a lack of vision for certain managers who should sometimes perhaps dare more.
Multiple expertise to respond locally
In order to respond to these issues, the agency offers 4 local expertises that can be found globally within the group Blue Soft :
- Infrastructure and transition to cloud, whether hybrid, private or public
- Data storage, coupled with connected objects that generate a lot of data
- Consulting, which will allow, once the data is collected, to give it a meaning and make an analysis to bring a layer of understanding and intelligence to the data for decision makers
