Since July 2017, Blue Soft 's digital division has been helping Vinci Immobilier to improve its processes linked quality control. This agile collaboration has enabled de transformed processes and habitsto the point of impacting other departments of thenterprises. Stéphane Gogeat-Damois, Director of Digital Projects at Vinci Immobilier.

Can you tell us more about the contours of the project project at Vinci Immoblier and the moment when Blue Soft intervened ?

Stéphane Gogeat-Damois : "The project for which Blue Soft was involved is part of a dematerialization process. The project consisted of The project consisted in putting a strategic tool for managing our sites in the form of a web application: the DCQ.The project consisted of putting a strategic tool for managing our sites in the form of a web application: the QCD (Quality Control File). The QCD is a kind of breadcrumb trail of the progress of the of operations related to a real estate projectwhich intervenes as soon as the project is launched of the project and until its final realization. It is therefore therefore a element that can reach important volumes. Until now, this file took the form of an Excel file, with all the limitations that this implies.

With this applicationwe wanted to achieve two objectives: to make the life of the employees easier and to make the document more reliable and useful. For example with autocompletion modesor the automation of reports.

The project began in July 2017, from a blank page. The team formed by Blue Soft to develop the application was involved at the very beginning, as early as formulation of the specifications. Blue Soft also supported us on the initial prototyping phases, to validate to validate ergonomics and content. We then moved on to the actual development phase."

What does collaboration in agile mode bring to Vinci Immobilier?

"In this type of project, you have a starting idea that inevitably evolves. On the one hand because the user needs evolve themselves, or because certain expectations do not are have not yet expressed during the writing of the specifications. On the other hand, because the discovery of a functionality desired can lead us to want to to enrich it further, to improve it.

The SCRUM method, an agile method, was chosen because it was a good answer to these situations. According to an established roadmap, Blue Soft initially conducted sprints of one month, then 15 days in the most active production phase. This sequencing allowed us to continuously test and improve the different elements of the application.

In terms of team scalability, the agile method is also very interesting. During development of the first half of the applicationwhich focuses on the upstream part of the work launchwe had up to 3 people from Blue Soft involved.complemented by a Project Manager who fulfilled the role of Scrum Master. Once this first phase was delivered, in January 2019, we kept one person on board until October for final delivery of the application.

We have found many advantages to this agile way of working.é. Even at the level of the people who are less familiar with the familiar with SCRUM. Being able to track successive deliveries reassures you about the project's progress. However, you need to be careful about communication: not everyone is used to "quick and dirty", and you need to anticipate by exchanging information on the improvement steps to come.We also need to anticipate future improvement steps."explains Stéphane Gogeat-Damois.

Did you encounter any technical constraints?

"There are always some! In this case we started with a SharePoint databasedatabase, to have a document filing system adapted to the operations. But as we were on the version SharePoint 2013, we lacked flexibility. So the technical challenge was to to add ar a Web layerlayer, to have a pleasant, ergonomic interface. This add-in SharePoint add-in has been developed and designed entirely on demand.

It was an ambitious architecture but essential to the for the user experience. And the team has done a remarkable jobAnd the team did an outstanding job, with quality deliveries, respecting best practices, to facilitate maintenance and project evolutions."

Did you achieve the objectives you had set for yourself at Vinci Immobilier?

"The main thing is user satisfaction. We're trying to measure it precisely, but it's still early days. but it's still a little early. The final delivery is very recent and not everyone has yet taken to this new everyone has yet to adopt this new usage. But the tool is very well perceived, even if it remains heavy by its natureThe QCD requires a lot of administrative work. It will only be really simplified only when it is be linked to other document bases databases of the company. We will therefore draw inspiration from what has been done to initiate new dematerialization and document management projects.

Of course we asked Blue Soft for to start thinking about it. This first collaboration was particularly successfulI've rarely made recipes so enjoyables ! A attentive and responsive, they were able to adapt to our needs and respond flexibly.. In addition to proving its competence technical, the digital team now benefits from a good understanding of the real estate business and the challenges related to these projectsour operations, constraints and expectations."concludes Stéphane Gogeat-Damois.
