The company Technico Flor chooses Blue Soft

The Technico Flor Group, which operates internationally, has chosen the Microsoft Office 365 suite. A year ago, the company naturally adopted Microsoft Teams. Jérôme Quinten, Information Systems Manager at Technico Flor, looks back at what led the group to switch to Microsoft solutions and shares his strategic vision for 2021. Presentation of the Technico Flor Group Technico Flor is a family-owned company based in Allauch, near Marseille. The group employs about 180 people in France and 220 people worldwide. The Technico Flor group has three main activities: the development of perfumes (fragrance compositions), food flavors, and the distribution of ingredients for cosmetics, flavors and fragrances. Why did you choose Microsoft Office 365? Jérôme Quinten explains: "Before the Office 365 migration, the IT department was composed of one person. Managing 150 mailboxes was tedious, so the company looked for more sustainable and up-to-date solutions. We chose the Microsoft Office 365 suite for the simplification of email box administration, for the volume and future implementation of collaborative work." What made you decide to adopt Microsoft Teams? [...]

Feedback from the city of Nîmes on Microsoft solutions for field agents

The city of Nîmes has deployed various Microsoft solutions to optimize different processes and offer a better level of inclusion to the local authority's field agents. Marjorie Fernandes, Head of Collaborative Uses, Jean-Michel Gautier, Head of Projects and Uses (Education Department of Nîmes City Hall), and Anne-Sylvie Charmasson, Head of Catering & Cleaning, shared their experience during a webinar dedicated to local authorities (available in replay). Here are the highlights of their testimonies... Implementation of a digital identity for field agents by the city of Nîmes The city of Nîmes has first given a digital identity to the field agents. Marjorie Fernandes explained how the community proceeded in these terms: "For the digital identity, it was done in 2 steps. First, we did a major overhaul of our Active Directory. Indeed, it was seen as a means of authentication, but did not contain elements such as the name of the hierarchical superior or the management. However, these elements automatically feed the Office 365 profiles and allow for personalized workflows. My colleague Etienne has led this project by putting in place a [...]

Yammer vs Teams: complementary or competitors?

While Yammer, created in 2008, entered the Microsoft fold in 2012, the appearance of Teams in in 2017 has sort of reshuffled the deck. Until then, users had a primarily office use of the Office suite. And suddenly, we switch to a collaborative vision of work, which accelerates further with the health crisis, forcing the planet to remote collaboration. Those who already had a real use of Yammer (and who were not necessarily very numerous, in proportion to Office 365 users), wonder if it is not a bit duplicative. And Teams users have a hard time understanding why they should use Yammer as well. But on closer inspection, each of these two products has its own specificities and "rules of the game" to know in order to optimize their use. What is Yammer not? Yammer is not a project management tool, nor is it an instant messaging or collaboration platform. Yet, Yammer has features that could give the opposite impression: connection with Sharepoint, user groups, integrated chat... So what is Yammer? A social network, but confined to a few [...]

Collaborative work and telework: How to reconcile the two?

It is rather counter-intuitive to associate collaborative work and telework in the same expression. It's obviously easier to get a team to work together when you can be grouped together! But the Covid-19 pandemic has reshuffled the cards: forced to learn to work remotely, while continuing to manage projects in collaborative mode. Remote work is now going to be a must in most French companies. Those who were not used to teleworking are discovering the possibility, if not the advantages. If some companies are still reluctant to see their employees dispersed, some situations force them to develop new collaborative models. Rather than rejecting online collaboration even if it means finding yourself in the water, why not try to adopt this new project management? Blue Soft gives you the keys to tame remote work while keeping your team together. Collaborative work, even when telecommuting The current situation confirms it: remote work is the royal way, and sometimes the only way, to maintain the activity of the company, whatever the context. In some cases, working alone can be done as well.

From mailing lists to Office 365 Groups: We tell you everything!

Mailing lists have long been used as the most common means of communication in business settings, and until recently in teams on Office 365. The formula was simple: rather than adding members of the recipient group one by one each time a message was sent, users would create lists and select all the contacts in a team with a single click. A habit that quickly found its limits since the possibilities are quite limited. Microsoft solved the problem by creating Office 365 Groups. This solution, central to the implementation of collaborative work, and offering advanced features, has become essential in team dynamics. It is therefore important to integrate it into IS management, and to replace lists with groups. Let's take a look at the do's and don'ts of Office 365 Groups. Why turn mailing lists into Office 365 Groups Switching from mailing lists (or distribution lists) to Office Groups simply means you get an improved tool. 365 Groups comes with more capabilities that make collaboration easier. Unlike lists, groups include: Automatic synchronization of shared calendars; Single access to shared documents as they are stored in a single location; and [...]

User management on Office 365: how does it work?

Very complete, Office 365 is deployed through many applications. Adapted to collaborative work, it can absorb a large number of users. In a context where the fashion is "Bring Your Own Device", users can even install the suite on several of their devices, computers, tablets and mobiles. For the general administrator and the administrators of each application, the question arises of how to manage these users. How to manage them? How to control access and ensure the security of the company's data? What are the possibilities per application? Office 365 user management is both simple and comprehensive. Find out more about this powerful tool. Access to Office 365 As a collaborative tool, Office 365 facilitates connections and uses. To access the different applications, there are three ways : Anonymous access: the unidentified user can open a document and re-share it via a link; Authenticated access: the user is connected to their Microsoft account through their email address; External access: the unauthenticated user can only access the basic features. What are the possibilities of the global administrator? In the context of an organization where all accounts are referenced, [...]
