As the year draws to a close, it's time for Blue Soft to look back at the milestones we've achieved by taking stock of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) charter for the year 2023.

Blue Soft co-constructed its CSR charter at the end of 2021 with its Talents Bleus, with objectives to be achieved over the years 2022 and 2023. Over the past two years, we have taken up challenges and implemented the expectations and demands of our employees, with the aim of achieving constant progress by the end of 2023. Our CSR commitments guide our every actionshaping our impact on society and the environment.

We would like to share the actions that have marked these two years, the initiatives that have been taken and the concrete results of our collective efforts to build a more sustainable future in 2023.

Environment: aiming for decarbonization and waste reduction

Reasonable management of practices, equipment and space

In 2022, we formalized and made available to employees an e-management best practice guide. Its aim is to help Talents Bleus make effective use of e-business tools and systems. It includes advice on how to optimize the use of tools, and information on best management practices for maximum efficiency.

We have also installed and made available thermometers at our branches in France, Belgium and Switzerland.in branches in France, Belgium and Switzerland, as well as energy-saving rules. This enables each and every one of us to adopt small everyday gestures in winter and summer alike.

At the request of our employees, we have greened ours spaces with plants in the offices, as well as green walls.

As far as the IT Department is concerned, we optimize our use as long as the equipment is efficient and in good condition. The team assigns employees to create a rotation of equipment. When the equipment is no longer usable, Blue Soft passes it on to a specialist company for ISO 140001-certified destruction. In addition, as part of Project Indigowe donate equipment to associations and schools.

Welcome Pack - Talents Bleus - Compliance with our CSR Charter

In our branches, we encourage our Blue Talents to use mugs rather than paper/cardboard cups.

Our Welcome Packs also include :

  • reusable bamboo cutlery
  • a glass bottle for our new talents
  • an organic cotton tote bag made in France
  • a planting cube with poppy seeds

Measure our carbon footprint precisely and take action

Over the past two years, we have adopted a new strategy aimed at accurately assessing emissions in order to determine a trajectory for reducing our carbon footprint. We are dematerializing our documents as much as possible, and we have put in place rules for our vehicles. Each new vehicle entering the Blue Soft fleet does not exceed 150g of CO2/km. This rule is formalized in the contracts. By the end of 2023, we will have a fleet of 48 vehicles, including 8 electric ones.

With regard to our electricitymmation, we have reduced our head office consumption by 5% this year compared with the 2021-2022 period.

To conclude this environmental section, we organized a joint action with a customer / a waste collection operation waste collection operation under the name "Ça Saône Propre".. Young people from the Maisons Familiales Rurales (MFR) in the Rhône region, accompanied by professional explorer Rémi Camus, carried out a major waste collection operation in Saint-Georges-de-Reneins and around the Beauregard canal.

Creating links

On the subject of gender diversity in our businesses, our CSR charter mentions improving our index of professional equality between women and men, which is a key issue for our management and HR teams. and HR teams. However, this legal indicator is not the only area in which we are working to improve gender diversity in our businesses. With this in mind, we have signed two structuring partnership agreements for 2022 and 2023:

  • with theLDigital association which supports and raises awareness among women of careers and opportunities in the digital sector. This agreement commits us to presenting portraits of inspiring women from our teams and helping to raise awareness of the Foundation among women undergoing retraining.
  • with theAda Tech School the first inclusive IT school, as well as our participation in job datings dedicated to retraining women in the Tech. This agreement commits us to coaching students to prepare for their job interviews and to participating in the training of apprentices.

Support through training and professional retraining

We have decided to add to our CSR Charter 2021-2023 a section on dialogue between our entities, support for professional retraining and the use of work-study programs with a strategy of school relations. This strategy is now in place, and takes the form of some twenty formal partnerships, including 3 with schools specializing in professional retraining. We take on talented people undergoing professional retraining and apprenticeships, in particular through our relationships with schools. Over the past three years, we have welcomed 7 employees undergoing professional retraining and 53 young people on work-study programs. Today, 13 of these talents have joined Blue Soft on permanent contracts.

Taking care of your employees

What's more, Blue Soft takes care of its talents. We have integrated many elements on the subject of well-being at work:

  • Creation of a week dedicated to corporate well-being.
  • Raising our teams' health awareness: we provide guides to the gestures and postures they need to adopt, in particular to combat musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), and we organize Pink October and Movember to raise awareness of male and female cancers and their screening.
  • Monthly workshops.
  • Formalization of the right to disconnect: now integrated into employment contracts and promoted during one of our monthly workshops.

Economy: suppliers, local fabric and commitments

Value creation, responsible purchasing and transparency

Blue Soft is committed to enriching dialogue with our stakeholders and raising their awareness of CSR issues, while improving our territorial footprint. We develop value creation in the local fabric, in particular by creating jobs.

In order to implement the most responsible purchasing strategy possible, in 2023 we undertook to list and reference the eco-responsible approaches of our suppliers and subcontractors. More than 400 suppliers have been listed in a single document and classified, so that in 2024 we can draw up an action plan aimed at upgrading these service providers and/or replacing them with others more in line with our commitments as defined as a priority by our employees in our charter: the use of people with disabilities and the shortest possible supply chain.

In keeping with our CSR charter, we are committed to maintaining transparency with regard to the Group's investments. To this end, we have made available, both internally and for our customers, slides presenting the different types of investments that finance the Group.

Supporting our employees' associations

In 2021, the Blue Soft group launched its program to support associations, called "Projet Indigo", which supports general-interest projects and organizations that our employees submit to the company. After just two years, the Blue Soft ship has supported 25 associations in the fields of health, sport and the environment. We support our employees' initiatives through financial donations, communication initiatives and skills sponsorship. In 2023 we supported 17 associations, created 6 videos, offered 35 days of skills sponsorship and made donations to the tune of €21,200.

2024: The challenges ahead

Blue Soft has been listening to and collaborating with its Blue Talents since 2021. As our CSR Charter is coming to an end, we have called on our employees to co-construct the new 2024-2028 CSR Charter. Our Talents Bleus are true CSR players within the Group! A CSR community was set up in previous years and will be updated.

Our employees, whom we will be calling on once again, will form working groups to reflect on and collaborate on the various pillars of our charter. They will be able, as they have already done, to propose actions and gestures to act and achieve progress in terms of CSR.

Meet Thierry Boccara, co-president of Blue Soft, who talks to us about CSR within the group.
